Girl Scouts elects two new members to local Board of Directors

     Oakland Park, FL --- The Girl Scouts of Broward County, Inc. recently named Gregory Billings and Patricia Johnson to the Board of Directors on November 30 at their headquarters in Oakland Park. Both will serve as Members-At-Large. The Board of Directors is made up of 27 community-minded individuals who serve as the governing body for the local organization.
     
     Billings currently manages the implementation and customer support processes for an education technology company, where he is responsible for the education of internet-based technology. Formerly a Systems Conversion Analyst Consultant for Spherion Corporation, he also operated his own consulting firm, Billings Consultant Group for two years. Billings earned his B.A. in Economics from Stanford University and M.B.A. in Finance & Corporate Strategy from the University of Michigan. He has served as a member of the Girl Scout’s Finance Committee since 2003.
     
     Johnson is currently the Speak-OUT Program Manager at BankAtlantic where her duties include supervising and managing the performance management process for the Speak-OUT Facilitators. Previously, she worked for Inroads in Miami as the Managing Director and Tap Consulting Group, Inc. in Pembroke Pines as the President/CEO. Johnson holds a B.A. in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida and an A.S. in Electronics with the United Electronics Institute in Tampa. She is a certified Mediator with the Supreme Court of Florida, Fort Lauderdale. Johnson also serves on the Board of Directors for Jobs Partnership and as a Leadership Council Director with Bethel Full Gospel Baptist Church in Miami.
