Girl Scouts will offer two new cookies in 2004 Sale

     Fort Lauderdale, FL --- The Girl Scouts of Broward County, Inc. (GSBC) is proud to launch its 2004 Cookie Product Sale Activity, Thursday, January 22 – Tuesday, February 10, 2004.
     
     The Girl Scouts will offer eight cookie varieties – which include two new offerings in Broward County: Double Dutch a dark chocolate cookie with semi-sweet and milk chocolate chips and Lemon Coolers® a bite-sized crisp vanilla cookie with zesty lemon chips and a covering of powdered sugar.
     
     The six returning cookies varieties are the best selling Thin Mints (wafer cookies made with natural peppermint and covered with a chocolaty coating), the exclusive Samoas® (vanilla cookies covered with caramel, rolled in coconut and striped with a rich chocolaty coating), Do-Si-Dos® (oatmeal peanut butter crèmes), Tagalongs® (peanut butter patties), Trefoils (shortbread cookies). and All Abouts (shortbread cookie with a rich fudge coating on the bottom).
     
     Girl Scout Cookies will sell for $3.50 per box. Proceeds from the Cookie Product Sale Activity stay within the Broward community, helping to provide ongoing troop/group funding, programs, council-sponsored activities, camping, and support for training our adult volunteers.
     
     The Broward County Cookie Product Sale Activity is a valuable Girl Scout program, one that teaches many important life skills. The experience Girl Scouts gain by participating helps them develop self-esteem, and empowers them to be responsible adults who are resourceful, productive and strong. Program skills include: teamwork, planning and goal setting, decision-making, financial management, and positive communication skills.
