Girl Scouts’ Golf Tournament Swings Into Seventh Year

     Oakland Park, FL --- The Girl Scouts of Broward County (GSBC) will host their seventh annual adult golf tournament on Saturday, June 3. This all-adult, tournament fundraiser is entitled “On the Green for Girl Scouts” and will be held at the Palm-Aire Country Club, in Pompano Beach. All proceeds directly support the membership and program of the Girl Scouts of Broward County.
     
     Golfers at all skill-levels are invited to play in the tournament. “On the Green for Girl Scouts” scramble format event with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Players will receive box breakfast, driving range privileges, morning round of 18-holes with complimentary beverages on the course, luncheon, awards ceremony, raffle prize drawing, and silent auction. Entry fee is $500 per foursome and $150 per individual golfer. Also included for golfers is a polo-style golf shirt and custom golf towel. On-course contests will include First, Second, and Third Place Teams; 50/50 drawing; Closest to the Pin (men/ladies); and Longest Drive (men/ladies).
     
     The 15-person Host Committee is lead by Kimberly Kisslan, a member of the GSBC Board of Directors and attorney with Broward Sherriff’s Office – together with long-time Girl Scout volunteer Jane Sims who is serving as volunteer tournament director. "I am thrilled to be chairing the golf tournament for the first time," said Kisslan, "this is our biggest event of the year – the money we raise here means we can offer more girls the opportunity to become Girl Scouts!"
     
     Sponsorship packages are still available ranging from $100 for Hole Sponsorship to $10,000 for Grand Tournament Sponsorship.
