Oakland Park, FL --- AutoNation (NYSE: AN) has partnered with the Girl Scouts of Broward County to present their eighth annual golf tournament on Saturday, June 2 entitled “On the Green for Girl Scouts.” Hosted at Palm-Aire’s renowned Cypress and Oaks courses in Pompano Beach, all proceeds directly support the Girl Scouts of Broward County.

“Supporting Girl Scouts is important to ensure that our young girls grow up surrounded by projects and programs that teach values and build character,” said Mike Jackson, Chairman and CEO. “AutoNation is proud to be the presenting sponsor of ‘On the Green for Girl Scouts.’”

The adult tournament offers a scramble format with an 8 a.m. shotgun start for golfers at all skill-levels. Entry fee is $500 per foursome and $150 per individual golfer. Players will receive breakfast sponsored by JM Family, driving range practice, morning round of 18-holes on the Cypress and Oaks courses with complimentary beverages, luncheon sponsored by Iconixx, as well as golf towel sponsored by AutoNation and hat sponsored by AT&T. The event also offers a raffle prize drawing and silent auction. Contests and prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place team, plus closest to the pin and longest drive.

The most exciting contest for golfers will be the Hole-In-One Challenge presented by AutoNation. Players will have a shot to win a 2007 Ford Mustang convertible.

The 15-person Host Committee is lead by Kimberly Kisslan, a member of the GSBC Board of Directors and attorney with Broward Sherriff’s Office – together with long-time Girl Scout volunteer Jane Sims who is serving as volunteer tournament director. Other generous sponsors who have already shown support to this year’s event include: AT&T, Iconixx, JM Family Enterprises, Little Brownie Bakers and Trophy Nut Co.

To register a foursome, contact Lori Sullivan at 954-739-7660, ext. 219 or email lsullivan@browardgirlscouts.org.
