Pembroke Lakes Mall Will Host Girl Scouts of Broward County Overnight Lock-In

     PEMBROKE PINES, FL --- Pembroke Lakes Mall, a shopping destination featuring 145 specialty shops, eateries and famous name department stores, will host the Girl Scouts of Broward County’s “Mall Madness Lock-In” on Saturday, February 18th.
     
     Nearly 1,700 Girl Scouts, ranging from ages five to 18 years old, will be “locked” in the mall at 10 p.m. Saturday night, where they will enjoy scheduled activities all night long. The girls will begin the night with a mall scavenger hunt, dance party and a Lion King show. Because no all-girl party is complete without beauty and fashion, the Girl Scouts will enjoy makeovers at a mini spa station and a costume contest. Carnival games, movies and bounce houses will also be set up in the mall.
     
     Many of Pembroke Lakes Mall’s stores including American Eagle Outfitters, Claire’s, Forever 21, FYE, Gadzooks and the food court shops, will remain open until 2 a.m. and offer special discounts for the late night shoppers. The fun will end 7 a.m. on Sunday morning, when the exhausted girls and their chaperones will check out of the mall with a boxed breakfast, making sure – as good Girl Scouts do– leaving everything as they found it.
     
     “Mall Madness is the first program of its kind for us,” said Girl Scouts of Broward County’s CEO Leslie Roth. “It is a huge event that gives us an even bigger opportunity to reach more girls and show them the kind of fun that is in store for them in Girl Scouting.”
