Shop Around the Clock! Girl Scouts host third annual Lock-In at Broward Mall

Plantation, FL --- Girl Scouts of Broward County hosts the ultimate all-girl, all-night shopping extravaganza at the Broward Mall on February 16. With an emphasis on “girl power” and fun with no bed time in sight, approximately 2,000 Girl Scouts will pour into the Broward Mall – open just for them – on Saturday night.
With over one million square feet of retail space, the Broward Mall is the perfect site for this unique all-night shopping and entertainment lock-in. This “round the clock” shopping event begins at 10 PM and ends Sunday, February 17 at 5:30AM. More than 25 stores and Food Court eateries, such as: American Eagle Outfitters, The Gap, PacSun, The Limited Too, Claire’s, Cinnabon, Haagen-Daz and Cozzoli’s Pizza are scheduled to reopen for Girl Scouts from 10 PM to 2 AM. But the party won’t end there!
Throughout the mall and the night, activities are planned. Girl Scouts, together with troop leaders and moms, will enjoy a DJ (dance contests), mall scavenger hunt , live story-telling, face-painting, bounce houses, mini-spa makeovers, a modeling workshop with John Casablanca’s Modeling followed by a Pajama fashion show and much more. Girls will experience the power of being with other girls in a shared setting, making new friends and reveling in the fun of it all. The fee for the event is $20 for current Girl Scouts and $30 for new members ($10 is the annual membership fee). Signing up for this unique event will open the door to additional exciting events and opportunities offered by the Girl Scouts all year long.
