This web page is designed to bring you up-to-date information regarding the realignment process and out new Council, GIRL SCOUTS OF SOUTHEAST FLORIDA (GSSEFL). CRC Update: On January 30, 2008 the Council Realignment Committee (CRC) held a meeting and here is a link to the recommendations by sub-committees and approved by the CRC. The name for our Council has been selected. You voted in our online survey, and a majority of 73% of respondents selected Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida as the name of our new Council. That decision was approved by the Council Realignment Committee and by GSUSA. We will begin operation, with the new Council name, on October 1, 2008. GSBC's Town Hall Meetings: This year we are hosting two Town Hall Meetings (May '08) in addition to our two Area Association Meetings (11/28/07 & 2/13/08) all held at the GSLEC - for the purpose of sharing information about council realignment, gathering feedback, and keeping you up-to-date on the process. These Town Hall Meetings are designed to hear from you! What do you want the new Council to look like? To Offer? What do the Girls want? All Girl Scouts (ages 14 and older) are invited to attend and to give input. |
